Fixed Asset Accountant

As our Fixed Asset Accountant, you’ll manage the accounting of assets to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our asset register. 

To be successful in this role your key responsibilities will include: 

• Daily Fixed asset management including maintenance of asset classes and effective lives, depreciation, additions/acquisitions, stocktakes, disposals and transfers  
• Liaise with Project Accounting Team for handover of completed projects 
• Monthly reconciliation of work-in-progress 
• Prepare capitalisation workbooks for asset transfers from WIP 
• Monthly fixed asset movement schedule 
• Monthly review of expenses for misclassified transactions 
• Providing advice in relation to capitalisation assessments of spend 

• 2-3 years’ experience in similar role  
• Experience with outsourced service providers for facility/asset management will be beneficial 
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail 
• Ability to analyse and communicate financial information 
• Strong Excel skills 
• Solid understanding of MFRS 116 (IAS 16 / AASB 116) 
• Positive attitude with personal drive and performance focus 
• Excellent written and verbal communication and effective interpersonal skills 
• Any experience with Malaysia’s Capital Allowances would be an added benefit 
• Experience with translating from functional currency to presentation currency would be an advantage
