What you would do in this role

Perform installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting on fire alarm systems
Install conduit, wire, and devices using engineered documents, drawings, and manuals in adherence to SecurAlarm standards
Obtain NICET II and FAST certification within 2 years of employment
Support after-hour client needs through the on-call rotation and adhere to the On Call Policy
Support emergency service calls and overflow as required

Provide training and support to both internal and external clients on the operation of fire alarm systems and components
Stay current on all assigned training, certifications, licensing, background checks, and client safety requirements
Develop meaningful relationships with clients and team members

Requirements

Authorization to work in the US
Must possess a valid driver's license, can drive a company vehicle, and be insurable under a fleet policy

Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test (including marijuana) as our Security License with the State of Michigan requires thorough background checks and places certain restrictions on hiring.
Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with team members and/or other clients.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
Manual dexterity is required for frequently reaching, climbing, and lifting small to large objects, and operating construction equipment.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet client needs.

Basic technical knowledge of networks, IT infrastructure, electrical theory, software interfaces, and the ability to understand blueprints
Ideal but not required: Knowledge of construction life cycles; fire and building codes such as NFPA 72 and Michigan building code; general knowledge of IT infrastructure; knowledge of fire alarms systems and devices
