Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support the company's scaling trajectory
  • Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures in a growing, dynamic environment
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Spanish accounting standards
  • Prepare management accounts, financial reports, and board presentations with actionable insights
  • Oversee cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and financial risk assessment
  • Drive financial strategy and provide commercial insights to support business decisions and growth initiatives
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, tax advisors, and financial authorities
  • Build and mentor the finance function as the company scales, establishing best practices and systems
  • Partner with senior leadership to support M&A activities, fundraising, or investment opportunities as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Spanish tax regulations, social security requirements, and all relevant financial legislation

Responsabilidades Principales

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity
  • Proven experience in a high-growth or scaling company environment where you've built or improved financial systems
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with expertise in Spanish GAAP and tax regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in unorganised or ambiguous environments, bringing structure and clarity
  • Excellent financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (experience with cloud-based solutions preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial technology tools
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (both written and spoken)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving abilities

  • Licenciatura en Finanzas, Contabilidad, Economía o campo relacionado
  • Mínimo 5-7 años de experiencia progresiva en finanzas, con al menos 2 años en capacidad directiva

  • Dominio del español e inglés (tanto escrito como hablado)
