Position: Financial Controller

Location: Initially Singapore HQ, with subsequent posting to the US subsidiary in St. Louis

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to join our team at Rapsodo. This role will start in our headquarters in Singapore, where you will spend the first six months immersing yourself in our company culture, understanding our financial operations, and building relationships with key stakeholders. After this initial period, you will embark on an exciting posting to our US subsidiary in St. Louis for a duration of up to 2 years.

Key Responsibilities

Initial Phase: Singapore HQ (First 6 months)

• Handle financial accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Subsequent Phase: US Subsidiary in St. Louis (up to 2 years)

• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed analysis and reporting
• Act as a business partner, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making
• Assist in overall cost management, in particular for large spend items
• Manage our corporate risk exposure, including managing insurance policies and claims
• Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development
• Continue to lead finance automation and process improvement projects to enhance financial operations

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a multinational company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Willingness to relocate to the US for up to 2 years after the initial 6 months in Singapore.
