The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller for our Copenhagen office.

Your primary responsibility will be accounting operations, guaranteeing the accuracy of our P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, and ensuring all bookkeeping processes are maintained and followed.

We are in the process of implementing the next generation of AI-supported financial systems, so this is an exciting opportunity if you’re excited about working with automation.

The team currently consists of one financial controller, a CFO, and outsourced bookkeepers.

Key Responsibilities

Your area of responsibility will be comprehensive and among other things include:

• Automate everything that’s possible to automate
• Work closely with our accountant with day-to-day financial operations, oversee all accounting functions, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. 
• Facilitate month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• You will be responsible for controlling our financial reporting.
• Investigate technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
• Maintain quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Manage regulatory reporting processes.
• Produce and distribute accurate monthly financial statements in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Financial expertise: You have relevant experience with audit, finance, or accounting, likely from a similar role.
• Process Automation: Strong experience in assessing, challenging, and optimizing financial structures, software, and processes.
• Experience from the software industry: You ideally have experience from another software/SaaS/subscription business.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field.
• Communication: Full professional fluency in English (written and verbal) is required.
