What’s the opportunity for a Financial Accountant at Gearset?
Become a key member of the finance team, contributing to both day-to-day financial operations and broader financial insight across the business.
Take ownership of core finance processes, including the month-end close, working closely with the wider team to deliver accurate and timely reporting.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes, helping teams across Gearset understand performance and plan effectively.
Build relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing financial context and insight to support decision-making.
Work across a broad range of finance activities, gaining exposure to multiple areas rather than a narrow remit.
What you’ll achieve
Own key parts of the month-end process and contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reporting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
Support the preparation of year-end accounts and act as a key contact during the annual statutory audit.
Review balance sheet reconciliations prepared by other members of the finance team.
Work with external tax advisors to support Gearset’s international tax compliance.
Contribute to the development and improvement of financial controls, processes, and reporting as the business grows.
Support wider reporting and compliance activities, such as gender pay gap reporting and carbon reporting.
Contribute to finance-led projects that improve systems, reporting, or processes over time.
Review work and support the development of more junior members of the finance team.
