Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, analytically minded Finance & Treasury Intern to join Astra Service Partners for Summer 2026. This role offers hands-on exposure to corporate treasury and working capital management within a multi-entity operating platform.

The intern will work directly with Astra’s finance leadership and operating company teams to learn the treasury function and support initiatives focused on improving net working capital performance. Responsibilities will extend beyond traditional finance internships and include real operational exposure across multiple businesses.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Learning and supporting Astra’s treasury function, including cash management, banking structures, and liquidity planning
  • Analyzing and helping improve net working capital metrics, including:
    • Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
    • Days Payable Outstanding (DPO)
    • Days to bill
    • Accounts receivable aging, collections effectiveness, and past-due balances
  • Partnering with operating companies to improve billing, collections, and payment processes
  • Supporting initiatives to move toward 100% electronic receipts and payments
  • Preparing financial analysis, summaries, and recommendations for finance leadership
  • Traveling to operating companies to support on-site working capital initiatives

 

This role is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate finance and treasury within a fast-paced, decentralized environment while developing strong operational and leadership skills.

 

 

Candidate Competencies

  • Rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Actively on the CPA track or planning to meet CPA eligibility requirements
  • Strong academic performance relative to program norms
  • Demonstrated leadership through student organizations, athletics, professional groups, or project teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
  • Clear and professional communicator with strong organizational skills
  • Proactive self-starter with a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Curious, coachable, and eager to learn in a hands-on environment
  • Values-driven team player with high integrity and long-term leadership potential
  • Willingness to relocate to Boulder, CO for the summer and travel to operating companies as needed

 

Location and Program Details

  • Location: Boulder, CO
  • Timing: Summer 2026 (approximately June–August)
  • Travel: Required to Astra operating companies
  • Housing: Astra will assist interns with locating temporary housing in the Boulder area for the duration of the internship.
