This role reports onsite in our Los Angeles office full time. 

The Role:
We are looking for a personable, hands on, and detail-oriented Finance & Strategy Director, Consumer Products & Experiences (CP&E) to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A, this person will play a key role in business partnering and supporting the financial planning, analysis, and performance tracking of our global CP&E business.

This role requires strong business acumen, solid analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of financial expertise and a strong understanding of the media and entertainment landscape. They may come from a Senior Manager or similar-level role and be ready to take on greater ownership and visibility. Familiarity with licensing, contractual deal structures, and content-driven consumer products is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with CP&E leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning efforts across the global CP&E business.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, key revenue drivers, and expense trends to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams to support the review of contracts and ensure financial alignment, providing helpful feedback and working with the Commercial team to improve deal terms.
  • Lead the financial evaluation of licensing deals, partnerships, and experiential initiatives, including royalty performance, minimum guarantee recoupment and other analysis as required.
  • Prepare clear, executive-ready presentations and reporting materials that summarize performance and support decision-making.
  • Conduct competitor and industry trend analyses to support long-term planning and strategic prioritization.
  • Lead the development and execution of departmental Quarterly Business Review presentations, including financial and non-financial updates.
  • Oversee and create team KPIs such as Objectives & Key Results in collaboration with the MD, CP&E, and monitor progress against milestones.
  • Own the CP&E Business Guidelines, establishing best practices for licensing deal structures, workflows, and terms.
  • Manage licensee audit program, working with external auditors to ensure licensees’ compliance with contracts.
  • Support month-end close processes, variance analysis, and ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, strategy, or related roles, preferably within media, entertainment, or consumer products industries.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and performance analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and engage with senior stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other common business software applications.
  • Knowledge of licensing, complex contracts, and content/IP monetization is a plus.
