Finance Specialist - Capital Markets

The mission:

As a Finance Specialist in our Capital Markets team, you'll be at the center of high-impact, strategic financial decisions. Your work will help shape Baubap’s growth trajectory by supporting and closing fundraising efforts, conducting insightful financial analyses, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.

You’ll work with a diverse, high-performing team to secure funding from a variety of sources including equity, structured debt, and unsecured lending, while contributing directly to Baubap’s mission of financial inclusion in Latin America.

This is a high-ownership, hands-on role ideal for someone analytical, proactive, and excited to grow quickly in a dynamic fintech environment.

The expected outcome:

• Enable senior management to make informed decisions through compelling, data-driven analysis.
• Contribute to equity fundraising efforts and lender negotiations with robust financial support and insights.
• Facilitate the company’s growth by ensuring strategic initiatives are well-structured and efficiently executed.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of quarterly reporting process
• Provide actionable financial insights that align with long-term growth, sustainability, and capital-raising goals.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in financial services or banking
• Strong understanding of financial statements and the ability to go beyond surface-level analysis.
• Passion for leveraging technology to expand financial access in Mexico and the rest of LATAM.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail are essential, as your work directly represents Baubap’s culture and level of professionalism.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken). 
• Experience in Fintech, Startups, or Venture Capital.
• Familiarity with microfinance, credit, or structured finance.
• Proficiency with SQL or data analysis tools.
