This is a strategic and hands-on role designed for someone who will work closely with the VP of Finance & Operations, taking ownership of financial controlling, reporting, and planning, while also shaping financial direction and providing insights on key business matters.

You will be responsible for ensuring reliable financial processes, preparing accurate reports for management and stakeholders, and coordinating with external accountants in all countries we operate. Beyond reporting, you will be expected to recognise financial trends, provide actionable insights, and support decision-making with sound business acumen. You will also play a central role in redesigning processes, strengthening finance infrastructure, and driving automation initiatives, working alongside the VP of Finance & Operations, CEO, and our Business Intelligence team.

This position combines managerial responsibility with practical execution. We are looking for someone who is structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable both driving processes and stepping in hands-on when required. Responsibilities

1. Financial Controlling & Reporting

  • Own and oversee monthly and quarterly management reporting and annual statutory reporting based on local GAAP & IFRS.
  • Prepare management and investor reports, ensuring proper consolidation across all local subsidiaries.
  • Handle corporate governance tasks related to Finance & Accounting (including legal cases).

2. Financial Analysis & Business Insights

  • Perform financial and variance analyses with the aim of revenue maximization and cost optimization.
  • Drive revenue and cost control cross-functionally in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Identify and communicate key financial trends and insights to support decision-making.

3. Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Develop and optimize financial models, budgets, and forecasting processes.
  • Support business planning and ad-hoc analysis to guide strategic decisions.
  • Ensure effective monitoring of actuals vs. budgeted figures.

4. Process Optimization & Team Leadership

  • Design new and optimize existing SOPs regarding bookkeeping, reporting daily administration.
  • Collaborate with C-Level, BI, and Tech teams to scale and automate finance operations & systems.
  • Guide and mentor the finance team while stepping in hands-on when required.

Requirements

      • Fluent in reading and creating key financial statements P&L, Balance sheets, Income statements, CashFlow statements
      • 5 or more years of relevant finance/accounting experience. Experience in fund-raising will be appreciated also
      • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with attention to detail
      • Experience in greek GAAP and reporting. IFRS would be a plus
      • Advanced Microsoft Office skills & Google Workplace (sheets, docs, slides)
      • Team player by nature and belief
      • Passion for personal growth with an open-mind and innovative mindset
      • Willingness to collaborate and lead cross-functionally
      • University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar from a top tier university
      • Highly proficient in spoken and written Greek and English
