Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Finance Manager to oversee the full book of accounts and prepare management accounts for our US distribution business. Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager, this role is critical in ensuring accurate financial planning, analysis, and reporting. The position requires working night shifts with flexibility in the location of work. Immediate availability is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full set of accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP) and Group policies.
  • Oversee reconciliation of intercompany accounts, addressing discrepancies promptly.
  • Lead and coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes to meet reporting timelines.
  • Collaborate with the US team and accounting team to ensure accurate data and efficient consolidation activities.
  • Monitor compliance with evolving accounting regulations and internal policies.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial reporting and accounting processes.
  • Engage with auditors and senior management, providing insights into financial performance.
  • Contribute to strategic projects aimed at enhancing financial systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; Big 4 or listed company experience is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Jedox, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamic 365) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise with the US team, auditors, and senior stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is required; Cantonese and Mandarin are a plus.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Adaptability to work night shifts aligned with US Eastern Standard Time.
  • Immediate availability is a strong advantage.
