We are looking for a "Finance Manager" to join our team in Istanbul, Turkey. The role will report to the Country CFO as a Deputy with a dotted line report to the Group CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Become a trusted partner to multiple finance teams on Group level and help drive financially sound business decisions, support Country CFO in all financial matters and increase overall profitability
- Expand, manage and coach the local finance team to support growth
- Manage and oversee financial activities of MET Turkey related to accounting, reporting, tax management, treasury, credit management and budgeting
- Provide support to other business departments and be part of local strategic projects
Accounting & Treasury Management
- Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of accounting in accordance with local regulation
- Be responsible of statutory financial statements
- Manage all external parties (accounting firm and tax advisors, auditors, tax authorities)
- Monitor and optimize cash management
Controlling Management
- Responsible for the management and presentation of the monthly reporting and analysis of business results to stakeholders on Group level
- Manage budget and forecasting processes (P&L, BS, cash flow) in accordance with Group deadlines
- Monitor and control profitability of the subsidiary (commercial margin, opex, capex)
- Implement and evolve digital finance and reporting systems
Credit Risk Management
- Define the local credit risk strategy
- Secure and monitor customer credit risk by setting up efficient processes and tools
- Manage collection processes and follow up performance of external parties
Back Office
- Coordinate and oversee the energy invoicing
- Implement and evolve billing systems and integrate with the accounting and banking systems
- Proven leadership experience with at least 10 years in financial management preferably in the energy sector
- Strong expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, cost optimization and ERP systems
- Deep understanding of tax laws, regulatory compliance, and international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
- Audit background is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (Logo, Sayax)
- Detail oriented, analytical, highly responsible, multitasking with excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and drive financial efficiency
- Fluency in English is a must
