Finance Manager (m/w/n)

Role Overview:
As Finance Manager, you are responsible for the financial steering of the plant, support Operations Management, and lead the Controlling team. You assume overall financial responsibility for the legal entity, prepare financial statements, forecasts, and budgets, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and lead internal control and audit processes. In addition, you collaborate within the global Finance team on strategic projects and growth initiatives.
This is a highly business‑connected role at plant level. The position is primarily onsite and requires close day‑to‑day collaboration with Operations and site leadership, therefore on‑site presence is required at least four days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for budgeting and for preparing monthly and quarterly forecasts for the production site
• Monthly reporting and validation of the annual financial statements (IFRS and local GAAP)
• Analysis and reporting of monthly results compared to budget, forecast, and prior year
• Conducting and quality assurance of special studies and analyses
• Conducting financial audits and providing input for investment proposals and product evaluations
• Ensuring effective internal controls with a focus on continuous improvement (KVP / continuous improvement)
• Responsibility for internal controls (internal audit/revision), statutory accounting, and all tax and VAT matters of the legal entity
• Coordination of internal and external financial audits; main point of contact for auditors
• Maintaining and managing key relationships with the IMI Group Finance team; interface to the sector headquarters
• Leading the Controlling team; close collaboration with the Shared Service Center responsible for accounting, and coordination of external tax advisors

Skills & Competencies

• Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Controlling/Finance or a comparable qualification
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, with strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and tax and/or financial law
• In-depth knowledge of back-office finance processes and standard cost accounting
• Experience in Controlling or FP&A in a multinational manufacturing company
• Extensive experience with common ERP systems (e.g., JDE) and understanding of the underlying processes
• German native and good English skills
• Strong strategic thinking, high business acumen, and the ability to interpret financial data and derive sound decisions
• Excellent communication skills and a cooperative, team-oriented working style
