Finance Manager

Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the finance strategy and budget, monitoring, analysis and reporting on performance, and providing operational financial support and subject matter expertise.  Leading a team of three including a Senior Accountant and Intermediate Accountant, you will bring your mentoring and coaching skills to the table. 

You will be skilled in translating financial and operational information into practical commercial and business outcomes, and relish influencing financial decision making.  In addition, you will work closely with the CEO with financial planning and forecasting ensuring alignment between business strategy and financial forecasts. 

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• CA qualified and a member of CAANZ
• A minimum of five years financial management experience
• Sound understanding of the compliance, accounting and employment and tax requirements of conducting business in New Zealand and Australia
• Proven track record of acting as the advisor for financial aspects of the business
• Experience managing working capital and ideally some exposure to undertaking due diligence for mergers & acquisitions
• Strong relationship management skills across all levels of the organisation
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence
