We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to own the controllership function for our Indonesia operations. This role covers end-to-end corporate accounting, tax compliance, regulatory financial reporting, and audit management across our P2P lending, balance sheet lending, and multi-finance businesses. The role is hands-on and fast-paced, suited to someone who can lead a team while staying close to the numbers.

Requirements

What you will do :

  • Own the end-to-end month-end close process — supervise daily transactions, enforce deadlines, and sign off on the final P&L and balance sheet
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled with supporting schedules; zero tolerance for unreconciled items at close
  • Maintain accounting records in compliance with PSAK, IFRS, and Group accounting standards
  • Produce accurate monthly financial reports and reconcile to the core lending system
  • Partner with FP&A on monthly variance analysis and management reporting
  • Manage external auditors and statutory reporting — own the audit timeline and deliverables
  • Ensure full tax compliance (SPT, WHT, VAT) — accurate and on time, every period
  • Ensure OJK regulatory submissions are complete, accurate, and filed within prescribed deadlines
  • Support group consolidation, owning centralized group finance process(es) and group audit requirements across P2P, BS Lending, and Multi Finance entities
  • Build and develop the accounting team — set clear expectations, coach supervisors, and drive performance.

What we are looking for :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (CPA Indonesia / ACCA) or Tax Brevet A+B required
  • 6–8 years total experience: minimum 2 years in a Big 4 / mid-tier audit firm covering financial services, followed by 4+ years in-house in accounting or controllership
  • Hands-on experience with Indonesian statutory reporting, OJK regulatory submissions, and tax compliance
  • Solid command of PSAK (Indonesian GAAP) and IFRS, with demonstrated application in financial services — P2P lending, multi-finance, or banking exposure strongly preferred
  • IFRS 9 ECL provisioning experience is a plus given the lending book complexity
  • Experience managing month-end close cycles, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting group consolidation
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent); strong Excel modelling skills
  • Prior people management experience — able to develop and hold accountable a team of supervisors and staff.

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours :

  • Technically self-sufficient — resolves complex accounting judgements (IFRS 9, deferred tax, intercompany) without needing escalation
  • Controls mindset — treats reconciliation breaks and compliance deadlines as non-negotiable
  • Hands-on leader — sets the standard, not just delegates; gets into the detail during close
  • Clear communicator — translates accounting positions for non-finance stakeholders confidently
  • Cross-functional — partners naturally with FP&A, Legal, and Ops outside of Finance
  • Thrives under pressure — keeps output quality high in a fast-moving fintech environment
  • Integrity and discretion — handles sensitive regulatory and financial matters with sound judgement
