Finance Manager

🏢This is a Hybrid role, working from our London (Old Street) Offices 3 days per week.

About The Role

Do you want to dive deep into the financial engine room of a fast-growing FinTech? At Capital on Tap, we move fast, experiment often, and use data to solve real problems for small businesses.

• Act as a key contact for the Finance team, building strong relationships and collaborating with internal departments to support business initiatives and resolve operational issues.
• Oversee the end-to-end management of customer-facing financial operations, ensuring the accurate reconciliation of bank and debtor accounts.
• Manage key aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring all reconciliations and analysis are completed accurately and on time.
• Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payments and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Manage the debt sale process, including the preparation of data, liaison with internal stakeholders, and coordination with external partners to ensure smooth execution and reporting.
• Oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring all invoices are processed and paid accurately and on time.
• Manage and coach a team of part-qualified/qualified accountants.

• Significant experience in financial operations, with a strong understanding of controls, reconciliations, and system integrity.
• Highly proficient in the use of integrated IT solutions, SQL and Excel reporting skills.
• A proactive, experimental mindset: you’re excited to make things better, test new ideas, and move quickly.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritise effectively, stay organised, and deliver under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
