Finance Intern

Takealot Group, South Africa’s leading online Retail / Delivery organisation, is looking for a highly talented Finance Intern to join our team in Cape Town. The Internship Programme will be split between all businesses within the Group, namely: takealot.com, TFS and Mr D.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

N6 certificate in Finance, or a related field. 

The skills we need:

• Ability to analyze financial statements, create forecasts, and develop dynamic financial models.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities:

• Collect, analyse, and interpret financial and operational data to support business decision-making.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and provide clear insights.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and performance analysis.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as required.

This is a 12-month contract position.
