Our cutting-edge cloud software empowers engineers and building managers to optimize energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and lower CO₂ emissions, making a real difference for the planet.

We are now looking for a Finance Director & HR Manager to join our leadership team and help steer our financial and organizational growth.

Your Role: Strategic Finance & People Leadership

As Finance Director & HR Manager, you are a key strategic partner to the CEO and senior management. You combine financial acumen with a people-first mindset, ensuring our operations are financially sound and our team remains engaged, empowered, and aligned with our mission.

You will lead financial planning, reporting, and compliance across multiple entities, while also shaping and executing HR strategy to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Finance

• Full ownership of financial management across Belgium, UK and the Netherlands.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting cycles; report directly to the Board of Directors.
• Lead external accountants to manage accounting, tax, audit, and consolidation processes.
• Ensure robust financial systems (Exact, Silverfin) and compliance.
• Liaise with external stakeholders: banks, auditors, legal advisors, and investors.
• Identify profitable growth opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
• Analyse company processes, and continuously improve to increase efficiency and quality.
• Together with the CEO, develop the equity story for future funding. Lead and coordinate investment rounds: provide substantial business plans, financials models, cash plans, ... that reflect and support Hysopt’s growth ambitions.

HR & Organizational Development

• Maintain, define and implement HR policies across all branches.
• Develop career paths, training programs, performance reviews, and compensation structures.
• Foster a strong, consistent company culture with shared values and clear internal communication.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, mobility, and employee benefits.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, promoting a positive and proactive work environment.

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in both Finance and HR at a senior management level.
• Experience with VC backed companies and navigating through the VC/PE landscape. Track record in funding rounds and/or investment realisations.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commercial mindset with strong negotiation capabilities.
• Fluent in English and Dutch; French and German are nice to have.
• Proficient in Excel and financial software (Exact, Silverfin).
• Passionate about innovation, sustainability, and working in a scale-up environment.
