This internship will help you acquire marketable Finance and data analytics/automation skills by participating in key company initiatives and live projects on the Finance team that will impact the business operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to support finance data procedures, dashboards and KPIs through automation and should be prepared to enter a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.  

Responsibilities  

Data Governance and Quality:  

• Support the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures for financial data. 
• Design and develop automated data quality checks and validations to ensure the reliability of financial information. 

Reporting Visualization and Automation:  

• Design and develop interactive and visually compelling dashboards using Power BI. 
• Leverage Power Automate to streamline repetitive financial reporting, data reconciliation, and other manual processes. 

Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL):  

• Build robust SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and load financial data from various financial systems (ERP/EPM) and databases. 
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency throughout the data lifecycle. 

Skills And Experience 

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in data science and analytics, including demonstrated knowledge in SQL, Power BI and Power Automate. 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or a related quantitative field. 
• A portfolio of projects or work samples demonstrating proficiency in SQL/Power BI/Tableau/Power Automate/Alteryx is highly encouraged. 
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to organize and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.    
• Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions for data extraction and transformation. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, report development, and dashboard creation. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data analysis ToolPak. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. 
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.  

Location: Redwood City, CA. We have a hybrid office work set up.
