Finance Assistant

Jellyfish are looking for a Finance Executive to join their Finance team on a permanent basis.

Based in India, reporting to our India Finance Partner, the Finance Executive will be responsible for tasks relating to our India business as well as our UK business.  They will ensure all aspects of financial tasks are completed on time, in line with Jellyfish process and practice and to a high level of accuracy, continuously reviewing and implementing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial processes.

Main responsibilities include:

UK

·         Processing all AP invoices using our automated AP system and following up with suppliers and freelancers where required

·         Processing weekly payment runs

·         UK Credit card Reconciliation.

·         UK Petty Cash Reconciliation.

·         Processing of staff expenses.

·         Updating and inputting financial data into Group reporting system, Sage.

·         Providing monthly reports as and when required by the UK Management Accountant/Financial Controller.

·         Update financial spreadsheets with accurate financial data.

·         Oversee Finance queries from employees or suppliers

·         Support the UK Financial Controller to provide information e.g. for monthly reporting & audit

India

·         Regular day to day accounting on Tally System

·         Providing monthly reports as per Management requirements.

·         India Petty cash expenses processing & booking the same on accounting system.

·         Taking care of tax compliances payment like PF, PT, ESIC, TDS, GST.

Requirements

• Intermediate to Advanced Excel.
• Experience of accounting software, ideally SAGE and Tally
• Previous Finance Assistant/Executive experience.
• Agility - The ability to multi-task and respond to team demands reflecting peaks and troughs in work.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Organisation and attention to detail/data accuracy.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written skills).
• A positive focussed approach to work.
• A proactive approach – continuously finding ways to improve processes for ease and efficiency.
• Fluent in written/spoken English
