Job Title: Finance Assistant
Reporting to VP Finance
Hours 40 Hours per week, Monday - Friday
Flexibility around hours will be required
Purpose of the Role
To support the VP Finance in ensuring accurate accounting, efficient processing of financial data, and
the delivery of timely and reliable financial information. The Finance Assistant will play a key role in
maintaining financial controls, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and clients, and supporting the company’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Financial Processing and Reporting
Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts using Xero, ensuring timely submission.
Support the VP Finance in maintaining and reconciling accounts within established deadlines.
Perform weekly reconciliation of Xero, cash flow documents, and bank statements.
Update and maintain the cash flow forecast on a daily basis.
Reconcile company credit card statements and ensure supporting documentation is accurate and complete.
Maintain the fixed asset register in Xero.
Payroll and Compliance
Assist in generating accurate and timely monthly payroll reports
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures and assist in implementing adequate controls for accurate management reporting.
Administrative Support
Provide ad hoc reporting and information gathering for Directors and Account Managers.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients through professional and timely communication via phone, email, and other platforms.
Represent the company positively in all interactions.

Specific Job Skills
Financial Knowledge: Prior experience in credit control and expense management is beneficial
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Xero accounting software is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Excel is essential.
Attention to Detail: Ability to handle financial data with precision and accuracy.
Professional Growth: This role suits someone with an AAT qualification or equivalent, though it is not a requirement.
Technical Skills
Software Proficiency: Competence in using Pleo, Xero, and MS Office suite (Word, Excel,etc.).
Process-oriented: Comfortable with both financial and general administrative duties.
