Position Summary

The Finance Analyst will support day-to-day finance operations and month-end close, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective controls, and reliable execution across accounting, digital asset, and billing processes.

This role requires strong accounting fundamentals, exposure to digital asset operations, and the ability to perform consistently during critical reporting periods.

Duties & Responsibilities

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

  • Support month-end close activities, including journal preparation, schedules, and reconciliations
  • Perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations with clear audit trails
  • Assist with close pack preparation and management reporting
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
  • Support cut-off procedures across multiple entities and systems

Digital Asset, Billing & Expense Support

  • Support reconciliation of digital asset balances
  • Support the recording and accrual of digital asset-related revenue
  • Assist with accounting and data validation for digital asset-related transactions
  • Assist with invoicing processes and billing reconciliations
  • Review expenses and cost allocations, ensuring appropriate GL mapping and compliance with internal policies
  • Support accurate posting and reconciliation of expenses

Accounting Operations, Controls & Processes

  • Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for audits and reviews
  • Assist with internal control activities and regulatory reporting requests
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on day-to-day finance matters

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Support finance system enhancements, data validation, and process improvements
  • Assist during system changes or migrations by performing reconciliations and control checks
  • Escalate data quality issues or risks to timelines early and clearly

Working Expectations

  • Month-end close periods require a high level of availability and responsiveness
  • Willingness to support extended hours during close when required
  • Reliability, accountability, and consistent delivery are essential for success in this role

Requirements

Experience & Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting, audit, or finance operations
  • Hands-on exposure to month-end close and reconciliations
  • Exposure to digital assets, blockchain operations, or custody environments preferred
  • Practical understanding of:
    • Reconciliations and accruals
    • Expense review and GL mapping
    • Prepayments and amortisation
  • Experience with accounting systems (Xero preferred)
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheet skills (Pivot Tables, lookups, structured schedules)
