About the Role:

The Finance Analyst will provide analytical support and recommendations to improve business decision making for supported units.

Responsibilities:

• Lead annual budget processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational plans
• Support forecasting process by gathering various data sets, analyzing trends, analyzing variances and current performance metrics
• Review and analyze monthly financial statements and reports to understand variances against the forecast to understand the company’s financial status
• Build reporting to track forecast accuracy within the P&L, Balance Sheet, Working Capital, and Operating Cash Flow segments and provide insight on areas of improvement
• Build dashboards to report financial KPI's to help drive improvements within the business
• Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision making
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting

Requirements

• BSc/BA in finance, data science or relevant field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Proven work experience in financial and data analysis

Required

• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications (e.g. JD Edwards E1)
• Knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, forecasting,  reporting, data analysis etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Handle sensitive information discreetly.

Preferred

• Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
• Ability to present financial information to a non- financial audience
• Advanced Excel skills and knowledge and experience working with PowerBI or another data visualization software is a plus
• Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL is a plus
• Strategic thinking and organizational skills
• Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
