Finance & Accounting Manager

TLDR

We are currently seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to join our growing team in İstanbul, Turkey. In this role, you will support the development and strengthening of our international operations by implementing best practices in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for closing Monthly Business Activities and Profit & Loss reporting.
  • Liaise with external auditors on audit matters and act on management letters.
  • Prepare monthly financial management reports.
  • Implement and develop financial controls.
  • Produce accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Ensure financial transactions are properly recorded and entered into computerized accounting systems.
  • Ensure regular invoicing and proper receipt of payments.
  • Administer VAT and process returns.
  • Manage assets and liabilities.
  • Review and control accounting data.
  • Oversee and manage accounting operations in line with local regulations.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day accounting processes and reporting.
  • Administer the company’s payroll and associated statutory requirements.
  • Undertake ad hoc duties associated with the accounts function, including maintaining financial files and records.
  • Carry out other related tasks as required from time to time.

We believe that you:

  • Are fluent in Turkish (both spoken and written), as it will be your primary working language, and have good English language skills (B2 or higher level).
  • Have a university degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, and at least 3 years of work experience.
  • Have knowledge of Turkish legal regulations related to accounting, taxes, and financial reporting standards.
  • Have experience in calculating bonuses according to the company’s incentive system.
  • Have very good skills in Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel).
  • Have experience working with different accounting programs.
  • Have experience working with Logo accounting program.
  • Have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Have strong hands-on experience in accounting processes.
  • Have a good understanding of international finance.
