Location Requirement:
Candidates must be based in or near the Oklahoma Panhandle region (Guymon preferred) to effectively support growers across the area. This role requires frequent travel throughout the Panhandle and neighboring counties for grower visits, device installations, and technical support. Local familiarity with the Panhandle’s agricultural landscape — especially irrigated corn, wheat, sorghum, cotton, and forage crops — is highly preferred.
What We Are Looking For:
Arable is seeking a Field Technology Specialist to support grower-facing operations across the Oklahoma Panhandle. This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on installing, maintaining, and supporting Arable’s field devices while helping growers successfully adopt and use our technology. This is an ideal position for someone early in their ag-tech career who enjoys working outdoors, solving technical problems, and supporting growers in the field.
What We Do:
At Arable, our mission is to connect the world’s farms through advanced field intelligence, creating a more productive and resource-efficient global food system. As water scarcity and climate variability intensify — especially in irrigation-dependent regions like the Oklahoma Panhandle — we empower growers with real-time data and insights that drive better crop and irrigation decisions.
Examples of Our Work:
Supporting precision irrigation to help growers maximize water-use efficiency.
Partnering with leading agricultural organizations to advance climate resilience.
Delivering actionable insights that improve crop and irrigation decisions.
Your Role:
As the Field Technology Specialist for the Oklahoma Panhandle, you will support local growers by installing Arable devices, performing in-season maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with grower training. You will work closely with senior agronomy and customer success team members while serving as the on-the-ground technical expert in the region.
What You’ll Do:
Field Installations & Technical Support
Install Arable devices on farms across the Panhandle region
Perform device setup, calibration, and system checks
Conduct in-season maintenance and troubleshooting
Monitor device performance and respond quickly to field issues
Work safely at heights when necessary (e.g., pivot installations), following all safety protocols
Grower Support
Assist growers with understanding and using Arable’s hardware and software
Provide basic irrigation and crop-water guidance in collaboration with senior team members
Support seasonal onboarding and training efforts
Help ensure growers are successfully utilizing the technology
Logistics & Equipment Management
Maintain regional inventory of devices and field equipment
Coordinate shipment, repair cycles, and redeployments
Track asset locations and ensure proper documentation
Regional Awareness
Stay informed about local cropping systems, irrigation practices, and seasonal challenges
Build positive working relationships with growers, irrigation dealers, and local ag partners
You’re a Great Fit If You Have:
Working knowledge of agriculture in the Oklahoma Panhandle, particularly irrigated systems
Experience with irrigation systems (center pivots), ag equipment, or farm operations
Comfort working outdoors in variable weather conditions
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technical equipment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
Willingness to travel frequently within the region (approx. 40–50% during peak season)
Ability to lift equipment and safely work in field environments
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, ag engineering, ag systems tech, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
What we offer:
Mission-driven team focused on sustainability and producer success
Competitive base salary
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with company match
Flexible PTO and holidays
Professional development and career growth opportunities
A clear pathway to advance into Grower Engagement or Regional Agronomy roles
