Field Technician

Position 

To support our rapid and sustainable growth, we are looking for a Field Technician who enjoys working in the field and solving technical challenges. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of Smappee’s charging and energy solutions, including AC and DC charging infrastructure and battery systems.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze electrical installations and ensure proper integration of charging equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of charging systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation or operation
• Perform ad hoc interventions and repairs when problems arise
• Install and configure the required IT and communication equipment
• Provide technical support during the commissioning of new Smappee projects
• Collaborate with project managers and internal teams during installations and interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed
• Ensure that installations meet safety and performance standards

Requirements

• Degree in electricity or electrical engineering, or equivalent knowledge through technical education (e.g. secondary technical education) or relevant experience
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot electrical installations and technical systems
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality service
• Familiarity with energy monitoring systems, smart home devices or renewable energy technologies is a plus
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus
• Willingness to travel to various locations across Belgium
