TLDR

Engage in comprehensive fieldwork, including equipment management and client relations, while adhering to safety protocols and operational standards.

Field Work

  • Report to duty at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure, to allow enough time to prepare truck and gear
  • Assist with equipment transfers as required
  • Connect with client representatives prior to departure from the shop, unless otherwise ordered by the Field Service Manager
  • Complete all required pre-job safety paperwork, including pre-job hazard assessment, job safety assessment (JSA), pre-job vehicle inspection, and pre-job equipment checklist
  • Use navigation tools to locate client worksites
  • Safely install, troubleshoot, and retrieve Abra equipment as required
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products and services

Client and Community Relations

  • Always adhere to the company’s code of conduct 
  • Always engage with clients and community members with respect and professionalism 

Shop Management

  • Assist the Field Service Manager with the completion of pre and post job duties, including preparing vehicles (fueling, loading, etc.), testing equipment, returning vehicles (cleaning), and cleaning equipment
  • Assist with routine inventory counts
  • Assist in general housekeeping of the shop, including sweeping floors, taking out garbage, putting away PPE
  • Return vehicles to shop and unload equipment (job equipment, PPE, phone chargers, GPS, handheld tools, etc.) following the job
  • Ensure all trucks are washed (particularly the wheel wells) following each shift
  • Place equipment in the appropriate storage areas (ex. damaged equipment goes on the “red tag” shelf, batteries to the charging stations, etc.)
  • Red tag any broken/damaged equipment, set aside and notify Field Service Manager immediately
  • Assist in equipment troubleshooting and basic repairs
  • Trucks must be refueled prior to returning to the shop
  • Assist with inventory tracking and logs, as required

Other Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain all required logbooks and other paperwork requirements daily
  • Accurately track and record time on the Time Sheet and submit to the Field Service Manager by required deadlines
  • Other field service or shop projects or tasks as assigned

HSE

  • Actively participates in monthly safety meetings
  • Actively participate in all pre-job “toolbox talk” meetings
  • Diligently complete all required safety paperwork, including JSAs, Hazard Assessments, Hazard Reports, etc.
  • Follows all safety-related policies and procedures
  • Ensure all Safety Training Certificates are valid and available for presentation at all times
