About the Role:

As a dedicated and tech-savvy Field Services Technician, you will provide comprehensive technical support to both internal and external users in the education field. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, maintaining network systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of all technology resources.

Pay: $22/h

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Location: Olympia Fields, IL 60461

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first contact for users needing technical assistance via phone, email, walk-in, and computer chat.
  • Perform remote or in-person troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software applications.
  • Maintain wireless networks and networking equipment.
  • Analyze and correct hardware and software errors, including on-site repair and routine preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain records of problems and solutions.
  • Assist users with access to network resources and software programs.
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
  • Provide support and training to the campus student-led help desk.
  • Manage internal Help Desk tickets promptly.
  • Develop, evaluate, and customize training materials and procedures.

What We're Looking For:

  • Preferred experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role.
  • Tech-savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control.
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology products.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems.
  • Knowledge of configuring and installing network and desktop applications.
  • College degree in IT, Computer Science, or a relevant field, or a minimum of one year of related experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve fundamental technical issues.
  • Knowledge of networking or student management systems is helpful.
