Our client in the power solutions and electrical infrastructure industry is seeking a Field Service Technician with hands-on power transformer experience to support large-scale field projects across the United States. This role is responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of power transformers at customer sites. The ideal candidate is technically capable, safety-focused, self-directed, and comfortable working extended hours in challenging field environments. This position offers stability, substantial paid overtime, a predictable travel rotation with scheduled time off, and strong earning potential while supporting critical power infrastructure projects nationwide.

Field Service Technician (Power Transformer Exp. Req.) Responsibilities

•    Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing power transformers at customer and project sites
•    Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on power transformers
•    Support troubleshooting and diagnosis of transformers and related electrical system issues
•    Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
•    Work collaboratively with assigned crew members under a designated field crew leader
•    Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
•    Ensure work quality meets company standards and industry regulations
•    Travel extensively and work extended schedules in support of project requirements
•    Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe and operational condition

Field Service Technician (Power Transformer Exp. Req.) Qualifications

•    Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing power transformers is required
•    Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and blueprints is required
•    Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards is required
•    Valid driver’s license is required
•    Ability to travel 3-4 weeks at a time and work 7 days per week at project sites is required
