Who we are:

At MOTH we're here for cocktails, company, and conversation. That's why we make the most delicious cocktails in a can - so that special mix can happen anywhere. Hands up - we're obsessive. Every sip delicious and distinguished. Our cocktails are classics, and our ingredients are second to none. At the same time - we're not snobbish. We don't talk in master mixologist lingo. We have no fancy bar or dress-code. And we believe in fair prices for great drinks. Because when you've got good friends and fine blends, what more do you need? Mix of total happiness. MOTH.

MOTH is one of the UK's fastest growing FMCG brands, re-writing the rules of RTD cocktails, and facing unprecedented growth. Our success is down to the work that our magic MOTHs do, we hire exceptional people to do exceptional things.

Our team in the UK has grown to more than 50 people and we're not stopping there. We're looking for a Field Sales Manager to join MOTH's Off Trade team ahead of the most exciting year for our brand yet.

The Role:

MOTH are looking for an experienced Field Sales Manager to lead, coach and develop the Field Sales function in our business. Using the Off-Trade Commercial Strategy and the priorities outlined, this role will be responsible for setting and executing the Field Sales strategy that delivers our supercharged growth targets.

Your key KPIs will be agreed upon using the following metrics: Revenue/NSV, Case Volume, Distribution, ROS, Visibility, and Activation Compliance. As part of this, you will own, manage, and – where necessary – lead the execution to ensure we deliver excellence on the ground across the Off-Trade. The role will focus predominantly on Convenience/Impulse but will play a crucial role in Grocery compliance during key campaigns and times of the year.

It’s a role that will sit in the Commercial team but work incredibly closely with Off-Trade Marketing to bring new, innovative ideas to market. We have a track record of leading the category with first-to-market activations and ideas - something we’re looking to continue into next year - so big picture thinking and creativity is encouraged. You will develop MOTH’s field team capability and the people that sit within that team, setting priorities and bearing responsibility for their output. Not to mention ensuring your team love their day-to-day role at MOTH!

If you’re passionate about sales, skilled at building relationships, excited by a role with autonomy and creativity, and - most importantly - experienced in leading a high-achieving team, this role is calling your name.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use the overall Off-Trade Commercial Strategy to build a Field Team strategy that will enable us to achieve our supercharged growth targets
  • Plan yours and your team's weekly, monthly, and quarterly priorities based on both key commercial KPIs – Revenue/NSV, Case Volume & Distribution – and cross-departmental KPIs: Visibility, Activation & ROS
  • Lead, coach and develop our Field Sales team to achieve both individual and team targets
  • As part of this, ensure that your team is not only high output but also highly engaged and loving their day-to-day work
  • Act as a voice for the Field Team at meetings with Leadership, raising any risks and opportunities with a solution-led, growth mindset
  • Work hand in hand with the Convenience Commercial team and Convenience Trade Marketing team to construct bespoke plans by account where appropriate. As part of this, well-informed ideas for showing up in store and in depot are encouraged at all stages
  • Monitor and analyse field sales performance metrics to provide regular reports to senior management
  • Support promotional activity in both wholesale and retail to maximise performance
  • Conduct field visits to support field team and strengthen key customer relationships - you’ll be both player and team leader
  • Own our field execution across Impulse and Convenience, ensuring excellence in distribution, visibility and activation

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in field sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills
  • An open-minded, solution-led mindset that’s respectful of others’ opinions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
  • Proven ability to drive growth and meet revenue objectives through a Field team strategy
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting tools
