Field Marketing

TLDR

Drive Exa’s field marketing strategy by owning high-impact in-person programs and collaborating closely with Sales to accelerate revenue and build measurable pipeline outcomes.

About Exa

At Exa, we are building a next generation AI search engine that outperforms Google for power users. We help people find information they cannot get anywhere else through products like Websets: https://exa.ai/websets

We are a San Francisco based team of about 65 from Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Apple, Palantir, and other top institutions. We recently raised an $85M Series B from Benchmark and are rapidly building the most intelligent search engine in history.

We are looking for a Senior Field Marketing Manager to build and scale our field marketing engine.

About the Role

You will own Exa’s highest impact in person programs across the year. This includes multi city roadshows, executive dinners, curated hosted experiences, and select third party conferences.

You will partner directly with Sales to drive net new pipeline and accelerate revenue through thoughtful, high quality programs.

This is a revenue role. You are responsible for measurable pipeline outcomes, not just registrations or impressions.

You thrive in highly cross functional environments and know how to turn a blank page into a repeatable, high ROI program.

What You Will Do

Own Exa’s Roadshow Strategy

  • Design and launch multi city roadshows aligned to priority accounts and industries

  • Define positioning, audience strategy, and content tracks

  • Build playbooks and templates for repeatable execution

  • Establish a measurement framework including pipeline generated, influenced revenue, meetings set and held, and deal acceleration

  • Continuously refine programs based on performance data and qualitative feedback

Partner Closely with Sales

  • Serve as the dedicated field marketing partner to Sales leadership and AEs

  • Collaborate with Sales and SDRs to build invite lists and align on account strategy

  • Enable day of coverage and ensure disciplined post event follow up

  • Own executive dinners and curated hosted experiences that drive meaningful engagement

Evaluate and Execute Strategic Events

  • Research and recommend third party industry and AI focused conferences

  • Ensure each sponsorship has a defined objective, audience strategy, and ROI target

  • Manage execution from negotiation through onsite activation

Act as a GTM Connector

  • Partner with Sales, SDRs, Product Marketing, Brand, and Ops

  • Translate business objectives into executable field programs

  • Provide clear performance readouts and recommendations to leadership

About You

You are an experienced field marketer who has built programs from scratch. You do not just inherit events. You architect them.

You think in terms of accounts, opportunity stages, and revenue impact. Pipeline is your north star.

You are exceptionally collaborative. Sales trusts you because you show up prepared, think strategically, and execute.

You are highly organized and detail oriented. You can manage multiple cities, vendors, and stakeholders without dropping the ball.

You are data driven. You care about what worked, what did not, and how to improve the next stop.

You are comfortable in a fast moving startup environment where priorities evolve and programs need to adjust quickly.

Experience working with AI, infrastructure, developer tools, or technical audiences is strongly preferred.
