We are looking for a Field Application Engineer for our Fan and Thermal Business in our Hoofddorp, The Netherlands office. To own customer-facing technical success and drive liquid-cooling products from qualification to scale and lead design-in, validation, on-site support, and RMAs while bridging Sales, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project leadership: Plan/track milestones, manage risks, and drive cross-functional execution from design-in to volume.
  2. Customer technical engagement: Capture requirements, discuss trade-offs, ensure spec compliance, and support architecture decisions.
  3. Validation & quality: Define/execute test plans (pressure/leak, flow, thermal, vibration); document results and close actions.
  4. On-site technical support: Triage, stabilize, and optimize performance at data centers and customer facilities. 
  5. RMA management: First response, on-site fault isolation, coordinate failure analysis with factory, implement and verify corrective actions.
  6. Manufacturing/process interface: Solid understanding of liquid-cooling manufacturing (brazing/welding, cleaning, leak/pressure/helium testing, flushing, packaging, traceability) and close collaboration with the manufacturing team to ensure quality and yield.
  7. Market & roadmap input: Synthesize customer needs and trends into product requirements and cost/quality targets.
  1. Degree in Mechanical, Thermal, Mechatronics, or similar background.
  2. Minimum 3 to 5 years in thermal/fluid systems (data-center cooling, HVAC/CRAC/CDU, server OEM, or related).
  3. Hands-on with pumps/valves/filters/sensors, coolant chemistries (water-glycol/dielectric), and reliability test methods.
  4. Strong knowledge of liquid cooling (cold plates, CDUs, manifolds, pumps, QDs) and manufacturing processes (brazing/welding, cleaning, leak/pressure testing, flushing).
  5. Proven project management experience to drive projects forward and hit dates.
  6. On-site technical support capability at customer/data-center locations and RMA handling.
  7. Ability to adapt quickly to fast, dynamic environments and full of team spirit
  8. Ability to discuss technical topics with customers, including design for manufacturing and cost improvements.
  9. Ability to design with AutoCad 3D, Pro/E, SolidWorks 
  10. Strong cross-department communication
  11. Fluent English and Chinese are required
