Fiber Optic Field Assistant

We are hiring reliable and technically inclined candidates for a Full-Time Fiber Optic Field Assistant role. This position supports field-based fiber optic network installations and maintenance while offering structured training, certification, and long-term career growth in the telecommunications industry.
Training Program & Timeline
- Paid, structured training provided
- Six (6) weeks of online instruction, followed by one (1) week of in-person field training
- Certificate issued upon successful completion of the training program
- Training begins February 16th
- Interviews will be conducted late January through early February
Role Overview
- Support fiber optic technicians with cable installation, testing, and maintenance
- Assist with job site preparation, equipment setup, and cleanup
- Follow fiber optic safety procedures, technical standards, and company guidelines
- Perform basic testing and troubleshooting under supervision
- Communicate progress, issues, and documentation to supervisors and team members
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Access to a personal computer and reliable internet for virtual training
- Valid United States driver’s license
- Authorization to work legally in the United States
- Willingness to complete a background screening
- Willingness to complete a drug test
- Availability to attend and complete all required training sessions
- Ability to work outdoors and in variable field conditions
