Federal Enterprise Sales Representative – Midwest/Rocky Mountain Territory
Spectra Logic is expanding its Federal Sales team due to high product demand. We are seeking a self-motivated Federal Enterprise Sales Representative to manage and grow our footprint across the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DoE), and Civilian agencies. This is a hunter-focused role within a private, profitable, and entrepreneurial organization. Candidate will be home office based in CO, TX, IA or MN.
Key Responsibilities
· Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to closing within Federal agencies and system integrators.
· Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a territory plan to expand Spectra Logic’s presence in the Midwest region.
· Technical Sales: Conduct independent sales calls and presentations, utilizing shared Solutions Architect resources for complex technical requirements.
· Channel Engagement: Drive revenue through both direct engagement and channel partner ecosystems.
Qualifications
· Experience: 5+ years of experience selling technology solutions (hardware or software) to Federal Government agencies (DoD, DoE, and Civilian).
· Track Record: Proven history of meeting or exceeding multi-million dollar sales quotas.
· Account Knowledge: Established contacts within major Federal accounts and a deep understanding of federal procurement processes.
· Industry Background: Experience at a major technology firm (ex: Dell EMC, Oracle, IBM, NetApp, HPE) followed by success in a high-growth, mid-sized company environment.
· Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data storage landscapes, including Tape/Libraries, NAS, Object Storage, Cloud (S3), and Data Archiving
Preferred Skills
· Experience working with major integrators (e.g., General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, SAIC, Leidos, Lockheed Martin).
· Familiarity with the GSA Schedule and FFRDC environments.
· Background in storage tiering and backup/recovery software (ex: Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity).
Territory & Coverage
· Region: CO, UT, WY, NM, TX, SD, ND, KS, OK, IA, MN, MT, NE.
· Requirements: Candidates must have a documented history of success in US Government sales to be considered.
· Work Site: Home office based in CO, TX, IA or MN.
· Education/Experience: Four-year degree, or equivalent technical or military experience.
· Travel: 60% travel.
· Status: Full Time, Direct Hire Exempt Position.
· Compensation: OTE of $150-200 including base + commissions
