As a Federal Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating Gigamon’s growth within the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and select Federal Civilian programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and capture new business opportunities, drive strategic initiatives, and build long-term value with key federal stakeholders and system integrators. This high-impact, individual contributor position requires a proactive, strategic approach to federal sales and a strong ability to influence outcomes in complex environments.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with the Senior Sales Director to shape and execute tactical and strategic direction for federal business growth.
  • Develop and implement capture plans for large federal programs, focusing on early opportunity identification with agencies and system integrators.
  • Drive sales through value-added resellers (VARs) and federal system integrators (FSIs), positioning Gigamon for long-term program success.
  • Collaborate with Account Representatives, Inside Sales, and Presales Engineers to advance opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting using Salesforce.
  • Represent Gigamon at industry events and customer engagements, providing market insights and competitive intelligence.
  • Contribute to product strategy and cross-functional initiatives based on federal market needs.

What you’ve done

  • Held or are eligible for a Top Secret Clearance (highly preferred).
  • Demonstrated strong performance working with SES-level federal clients and system integrators.
  • Achieved success in selling to and managing large federal programs.
  • Accumulated 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, networking, network security, or cloud sales.
  • Consistently met or exceeded sales quotas, with a proven track record of sales excellence.
  • Developed strong consultative selling and communication skills.
  • Gained experience with Salesforce and disciplined sales forecasting.
  • Earned a bachelor’s degree (preferred); a technical background is a plus.

The base salary compensation range targeted for this role is $192,500 - $238,000, with an opportunity to earn an annual bonus or commission (subject to the terms and conditions of the plan). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
