We are looking for a versatile supply chain professional to fill a hybrid role combining Factory Coordination and 2nd Tier Supply Chain Management. This individual will be responsible for managing factory operations, production timelines, quality control, new product introduction, and the management of raw material inventory and lead times for manufacturing partners. This role is one of two key positions being hired in Malaysia to build our regional operations team.

The ideal candidate will be deeply hands-on, highly organized, and able to collaborate cross-functionally with U.S. and Asia-based teams in operations, product, and accounting. As this is a foundational role in our new global supply chain team, the ideal candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced, startup-like environment and passionate about building processes from the ground up. This role will be central to Selkirk Sport’s global expansion efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Factory Coordination

  • Act as the primary factory liaison for New Product Introduction, R&D, and engineering changes.
  • Coordinate all quality control processes, collaborating with local QC teams and the U.S. QC team on sample pulling, lab testing, and buyer requests.
  • Schedule and manage factory audits (e.g., GMP, COC) and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Coordinate directly with factory operations teams to ensure timely production scheduling, smooth inventory flow, and quality release for export.
  • Coordinate the production of new packaging, custom retail sleeves, and PDQ displays with factories.
  • Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments between factories, component suppliers, and regional warehouses.
  • Track forecasts and purchase orders (POs) related to production, ensure all documentation is compliant, and manage customs coordination.
  • Maintain clear visibility into production lead times, identify potential bottlenecks, and ensure logistics readiness for finished goods.
  • Develop and maintain reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track production timelines, factory performance, and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Logistics Manager to ensure a smooth handoff from production readiness to international shipment.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies and be responsible for creating, documenting, and implementing new processes for factory coordination and quality control.
  • Work with local software developers to improve and customize supply chain and factory coordination IT tools.

Component & Raw Material Management

  • Work directly with primary factory partners to understand and monitor their raw material inventory levels and component lead times.
  • Collaborate with factory partners to improve visibility and manage risks related to their 2nd-tier component and material suppliers.
  • Ensure factories maintain sufficient raw material inventory to meet production forecasts and PO deadlines.
  • Coordinate and oversee periodic counts of both finished goods and raw materials at factory locations.
  • Track and maintain inventory counts within our internal systems to provide clear visibility on progress to meet POs and satisfy demand.
  • Collaborate with U.S. supply chain teams to align material availability with overall demand plans.
  • Oversee inter-company transfer logistics for bulk and large distributor orders (e.g., Shopee, big box retailers, etc.).

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in supply chain management, factory coordination, procurement, or quality assurance, preferably with regional exposure in Asia.
  • Direct experience with factory audits (GMP, COC), quality control inspections, and new product introduction (NPI) processes.
  • Proven track record in coordinating across suppliers, factories, and cross-border logistics networks.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment; comfortable building new systems and processes from scratch as part of a foundational team.
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Familiarity with export/import documentation and customs requirements related to manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication skills (English proficiency required).
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is required to coordinate with regional factories and suppliers.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent) and supply chain platforms (e.g., Anvyl) is a plus.
  • Hands-on, solutions-driven professional able to manage multiple responsibilities across production and supply chain functions.
  • Analytical mindset with an ability to optimize lead times and supplier efficiency.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with high attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with U.S. and Asia-based teams.
