  JOB SUMMARY The role of the facility Supervisor is to lead, supervise, and coordinate the day-today-maintenance and repair of the facility buildings including grounds and any associated equipment. The Facility Supervisor is also responsible for preventative maintenance and inspections of installed equipment. The Facility Supervisor will assign tasks to the maintenance staff, coordinate maintenance with peer supervisors, oversee installs, inspect repairs, and maintain systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management along with assisting the EHS Engineer in related city agencies inspections to ensure the facility maintains fitness. The Facility Supervisor supports capital projects, manages outside contractors, as well as a "hands-on" facilitation of process repairs that include adherence to all safety rules and procedures while managing departmental spare parts inventory. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   1.     Responsible for the appearance, custodial function, and safety of the facility, equipment, and grounds and ensure that compliance with all building and health codes are maintained according to company policy and procedures, along with performing other related duties as assigned. 2.     Fulfill a leadership role by developing a positive and productive work environment. Maintain an objective approach when dealing with challenges. Promote effective communications amongst all employees. Motivate, influence, mentor, and instruct/coach others along with enhancing the overall performance level of the assigned work group while holding employees accountable for their actions in safety, quality, and efficiency of their work. 3.    Enforce site standards and expectations by providing in-field oversight, mentoring and coaching for assigned work crews. Evaluate employee's performance while setting the proper expectations. 4.     Recognize maintenance needs to determine a plan for completing and tracking work by executing the preventative maintenance schedule and corrective maintenance repairs. 5.    Pair with the Maintenance3 Planner to utilize 100% of employees scheduled availability for repairs of the facility, life safety, site grounds, refrigeration, and material handling equipment. Assist in scheduling contractors, maintain schedules, project plans, and timelines. Inspect and manage completed work by vendors and contractors for quality accuracy. Maintain all necessary maintenance records. 6.     Oversee daily and weekly maintenance schedules and work orders. Ensure decisions optimize utilization of resources in alignment with equipment availability and plant priorities. 7.     Work alongside with the Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Training and other departments as a member of the organizational team. Communicate with peers and Managers on the status of equipment return to service dates. Manage and review service contracts under supervision of management. 8.     Order material equipment and supplies necessary to complete maintenance tasks. Maintain spare inventory of parts and supplies that are needed frequently. 9.     Demonstrate knowledge of troubleshooting equipment to identify source of problems and develop effective solutions to eliminate reoccurrences. Aid in process improvement and regulatory compliance programs. 10.  Assist the EHS Engineer in maintaining inspection logs for facility sprinklers, maintenance logs, and all federal, state, and city regulations. Conduct and document regular facility inspections. 14.  Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly. 15.  Possess good leadership skills and the ability to supervise the work of others. Must be able to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results. 16.  Work alongside the production, engineering, purchasing, and training teams to ensure a culture of continuous improvement. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1.   High School diploma or equivalent 2. A minimum of three years of previous supervisory/leadership experience in the craft or discipline that the person supervises. 3. Three years' experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls. 4. Multi-craft/multi-skilled experience with expertise in electrical, electrical controls, mechanical pneumatics, hydraulics, machine shop, and fabrication in an industrial environment. 5. Must be able to keep up with rapidly changing technology for building and equipment operation. 6. Must be self-motivated and able to take the initiative to get things done promptly. 7. Ability to read mechanical/electrical blueprints and P & ID's. 8. Perform a wide variety of maintenance jobs involving electrical/mechanical repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, building utilities, HVAC, and construction. 9. Experience with building blueprints, electrical, plumbing, heating, and ventilation systems. 10. Valid driver's license and a clear driving record for the past 3 years is required. a. Employee will be required to submit to a Motor Vehicle Record Check upon offer of employment and annually thereafter. An unacceptable record includes a DUI, Reckless Operations, and/or Fleeing the Scene of an accident. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS 1.     Completed two or more years of technical courses in theory and practice in electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and construction. 2. Experience in maintaining three-phase electrical systems. 3. Computer literacy with Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook. 4. Experience and knowledge of eMaint or other work management CMMS programs and proven ability to develop and enhance PM's. 5. Previous experience with Wastewater Treatment Systems. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position has pre-employment testing requirements that may require fitness for duty testing and a vision exam. Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection. Work in difficult positions from time to time. Stand and/or sit for portions of the shift.  Move parts (>50 pounds) using hoists, slings, carts, or other handling methods. Move less heavy parts (<50 pounds) with or without hoists, slings, or carts.
