CSG is searching for a talented and forward-thinking business professional to fill the role of Facility Security Officer (FSO) at our corporate headquarters in Fayetteville, NC.  This position will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team at a growing small- to medium-sized business in the defense space, assuming responsibility for a variety of challenging roles that will make a positive impact on the company’s ability to serve our government, military and commercial customers.


-- Position Tasks & Responsibilities --

Corporate Facility Security Management:

  • Analyzes Task Order RFPs and develops Task Order System Security Plans (SSP).
  • Ensures physical and personnel security compliance for up to 3 simultaneous SSPs.
  • Conducts records management for classified activities such as document accountability, security   clearances, classified meetings, and classified visits.
  • Provides database administration for programs such as JPAS, SIMS, and electronic file repository.
  • Performs classified system audits.
  • Tracks contract and subcontract activities.
  • Oversees classified visitor and meeting activities.
  • Serves as the help desk for facility security questions.
  • Conducts facility security briefings, issues ID badges, and hand carry credentials.
  • Assist staff with completion and submittal of SF86 and special access packages.
  • Conducts self-assessments of program elements against program requirements.
  • Transmits and receives classified materials via mail, fax, hand carry, or classified network.
  • In-process and out-process employees, as necessary.

Team Management:

  • Review and assess current security situations; make recommendations to the executive leadership team for refinement and maturation against company growth projections.
  • Execute updated security plans based on corporate growth plan; mentor and develop an assistant FSO, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation and the cultivation of an effective team dynamic.

 -- Desired Skills & Qualifications --

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Requires minimum 5 years of relevant and successful CPSO or FSO experience.
  • Current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Facility Security Officer Certification.
  • Experience with DSS inspections.
  • Functional knowledge of governing regulations; NISPOM, DCID, and ICDs.
  • Progressively responsible experience in a government contracting environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and proven ability to meet goals and deadlines, especially in a growing, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
  • Military experience is a plus, but not required.
