As the Facility Manager at Road, you will be responsible for the entire facility's operations. You are driven by a passion for creating seamless and safe physical environments. You will work independently to manage our building's infrastructure while collaborating closely with various departments and external partners. Your mission? You will also play a key role in supporting the management with facility-related projects and strategies.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Vendor and Contract Management: You are the first point of contact for and manage relationships with all facility-related suppliers, including cleaning services, security, maintenance contractors, and utilities.

  • Health & Safety Compliance: You are responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety protocols, ensuring the office complies with all relevant regulations. This includes managing emergency response plans (e.g., fire safety, first aid/BHV).

  • Building Maintenance and Repairs: You will proactively manage the maintenance of the office space and building systems (HVAC, lighting, etc.) and ensure that any defects or issues are resolved swiftly and effectively.

  • Procurement and Inventory: Overseeing the purchasing of all facility-related supplies and equipment, from coffee beans to new laptops, while maintaining optimal stock levels.

  • Space Management: You will manage the office layout and space planning to accommodate our growing team, ensuring an efficient and comfortable workspace for everyone.

  • Security and Access Control: You will oversee the building's security systems and manage access for employees, visitors, and contractors.

  • Project Management: You will plan and execute office moves, renovations, and other facility-related projects.

  • Visitor Experience: Ensuring all visitors are received professionally and have a positive experience at our office.

  • Ad Hoc Support: Providing facility-related support for ad hoc requests from the Executive Board.

Requirements

  • MBO4+ level of work and thinking, preferably with a degree in Facility Management, Real Estate, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a Facility Manager or similar role, preferably at least 2 years within a dynamic and growing organization.

  • Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., BHV).

  • Technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; you are a true "spider in the web."

  • You are customer-oriented and always take an extra step for the internal customer.

  • You are accurate, proactive, and can switch between tasks quickly.

  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, with the ability to find the right tone for any situation
