Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place!
E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system that will fundamentally change the design, economics, manufacturing and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.
We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed to innovate space-based communications and deliver actionable intelligence that will expand global economies, protect space and our planet and enhance our overall quality of life.
THE ROLE:
We’re seeking an experienced Facilities Security Officer (FSO) who can lead, design, and execute a comprehensive industrial security program for a classified “possessing” facility. This role will also serve as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO), responsible for developing and maintaining a proactive insider threat and awareness program.
You’ll be joining E-Space at a pivotal moment — helping establish our cleared operations from the ground up and ensuring compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), DoD 5220.22-M (NISPOM), and related directives.
What You'll Do:
Stand up and manage a cleared possessing facility under the National Industrial Security Program a(NISP), including SCIF design, accreditation, and ongoing safeguarding operations.
Serve as the primary liaison with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other government partners.
Lead and maintain all personnel, facility, and information security clearances, documentation, and reporting.
Develop and manage the Insider Threat Program, ensuring compliance with Executive Order 13587 and NISPOM requirements.
Establish and maintain secure communication systems (classified and unclassified) and ensure compliance with TEMPEST and COMSEC protocols as applicable.
Coordinate with IT, HR, Legal, and Engineering to integrate security controls across all functions and programs.
Conduct and document self-inspections, audits, and vulnerability assessments; lead mitigation and continuous improvement efforts.
Train and brief employees on security awareness, insider threat prevention, and reporting responsibilities.
Support contract security requirements (DD254s, foreign ownership/control/influence mitigation, etc.).
Partner with leadership to embed a security-first mindset into E-Space’s culture of innovation and responsibility.
What You Bring:
Active U.S. Top Secret (TS) clearance (with SCI eligibility strongly preferred).
8+ years of experience in industrial security, including at least 3 years as an FSO for a possessing facility.
Proven record of success establishing a new cleared facility, including working through initial sponsorship, construction, and DCSA accreditation.
Certified FSO (CDSE) training completion; additional CDSE Insider Threat Program Management training strongly preferred.
Deep understanding of NISPOM, ICD 705, DoDM 5205.07, and related directives.
Experience managing classified information systems and working with Information System Security Managers (ISSMs).
Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills — with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment.
A proactive, mission-driven approach: you don’t just enforce compliance — you build secure systems that enable innovation.
