Facilities Manager
TLDR
Lead the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of facilities and assets, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency in a regulated environment.
- Own day-to-day facilities operations supporting manufacturing, labs, cleanrooms, and office spaces
- Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance for building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities)
- Lead facility projects (minor and major), including capital improvements and space modifications
- Manage vendors and service providers, including cleaning services and specialized contractors
- Oversee cleaning and facility standards across labs and cleanroom environments
- Coordinate required inspections (pest control, safety systems, emergency lighting, etc.)
- Manage security systems (badge access, fobs, cameras, and permissions)
- Support space planning, office setup, and workplace moves
- Oversee fixed asset tracking and facility-related systems
- Partner with Quality and Operations on validation, calibration, and compliance activities
- Lead and support EHS programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture
- Build and manage facilities budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Act as the first point of escalation for all facilities-related issues
- Respond to alarms and facility emergencies, coordinating appropriate actions and communication
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical facility issues
Emergency Response
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in facilities, engineering, or project management
- Experience supporting manufacturing, lab, or technical environments
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical)
- Experience managing vendors and contractors
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management systems
- Experience in GMP or regulated environments
- Cleanroom experience (environmental controls, monitoring, gowning protocols)
- Experience with calibration or CMMS systems
- Professional certifications (CFM, FMP, CSP)
- Continuous improvement or Lean experience
Nice to Have:
- On-site role in Lowell, MA with periodic support to Lexington
- Regular work in manufacturing, lab, and office environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (e.g., climbing ladders, moving equipment)
- Availability to respond to emergencies 24/7

The base annual salary hiring range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000.
