Gantri operates a 40,000+ sq. ft. digital manufacturing facility in the Bay Area, combining high-mix production, automation, and advanced finishing processes. Our facility includes a 3D print farm, robotic systems, compressed air infrastructure, dust collection, finishing operations, material handling equipment, and supporting MEP systems.
We are seeking a Facilities Manager to ensure our infrastructure is reliable, safe, and scalable as we continue to grow.
Role Overview
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the performance, safety, and compliance of all building systems and production-support infrastructure. This role combines strategic ownership (preventive maintenance systems, vendor management, compliance) with hands-on technical capability.
You will ensure that equipment uptime is maximized, risks are mitigated, and our facility can support continued operational growth.
Equipment & Infrastructure Ownership
Industrial air compressors and compressed air distribution
Dust collection systems
Industrial shredder
Robotic arm(s) and automation support systems
Forklift(s) and scissor lift(s)
Facility electrical systems, lighting, HVAC, plumbing
General building infrastructure (doors, racking, safety systems)
Expectations:
Develop and manage a preventive maintenance schedule
Reduce unplanned downtime through proactive monitoring
Maintain maintenance logs and documentation
Manage spare parts inventory and critical spares strategy
Coordinate external service providers when required
Safety & Compliance Leadership
Serve as facility safety lead for a 40,000+ sq. ft. manufacturing environment
Ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulatory requirements
Maintain inspection records for forklifts, lifts, compressors, and other regulated equipment
Lead periodic safety audits and risk assessments
Support training on PPE, equipment operation, and emergency procedures
Partner with leadership on incident investigations and corrective actions
Expectation:
Maintain a safe, inspection-ready facility at all times.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Manage relationships with HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and specialty vendors
Review scopes of work and control cost
Oversee installations and facility upgrades
Ensure contractors adhere to safety standards
Continuous Improvement & Scalability
Identify infrastructure bottlenecks that impact production
Support layout changes and equipment moves
Contribute to long-term facility planning and automation readiness
Help design systems that support higher throughput and reliability

Expansion & Capital Projects Leadership
Own and lead facility expansion and major capital improvement projects, including the planning and execution of a multi-million-dollar production build-out.
Responsibilities include:
Partnering with leadership to define project scope, budget, and success criteria
Coordinating architects, engineers, general contractors, and specialty vendors
Managing project timelines, permitting, inspections, and contractor performance
Overseeing installation of production infrastructure (compressed air, dust collection, electrical upgrades, robotics integration, racking, safety systems)
Ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and without disrupting ongoing production
Anticipating long-term infrastructure needs and designing for scalability
Expectation:
Operate as the owner’s representative for facilities expansion — balancing cost, speed, safety, and operational continuity.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in industrial facilities or manufacturing maintenance
Strong mechanical aptitude; working knowledge of electrical and automation systems
Experience maintaining compressors, material handling equipment, and industrial infrastructure
Familiarity with OSHA compliance and workplace safety programs
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
Experience managing vendors and contractors
Highly organized with strong documentation practices
Preferred:
Experience in high-mix or automated manufacturing environments
Certification in forklift/aerial lift inspection
Experience implementing preventive maintenance software
