PURPOSE:
 
Fontainebleau Opa-locka, a Skyservice company, is accepting applications for Facilities Attendants. Under general supervision, Facilities Attendants perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of the facility; and perform related duties as assigned. 
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs various maintenance functions in carpentry, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, custodial, painting, and minor electrical repair.
  • Inspects air conditioning and heating units to ensure efficient operation; diagnoses electrical and mechanical malfunctions and makes necessary repairs. Install, assemble, relocates, and repairs office equipment, including clocks, appliances, and furniture. 
  • Does rough carpentry work associated with remodeling offices and buildings; repairs drywall, plaster, roofing, doors, and broken tiles; repairing windows, paints, stains, and patches; building and installing furniture and cabinets.
  • Troubleshoots and maintains plumbing systems, toilets, faucets, and drains in building. Performs minor electrical repairs, including lighting, light fixtures, and pumps.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • High school diploma/GED required;
  • Valid driver’s license required;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Being mechanically-inclined is considered an asset;
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
  • Ability to safely use and climb ladders;
  • Ability to work outside in a variety of weather/environmental conditions.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Be at least 18 years of age;
  • Legally entitled to work in the United States;
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and other background checks necessary to obtain an airport restricted area pass.
SCHEDULE: Sunday to Saturday – 8 to 10 hour shifts. Must be available to work statutory holidays as required.
