About the Position

Dexis Professional Services (Dexis) is seeking a Facilitation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide executive-level facilitation support, technical guidance, and direction for multiple high-complexity projects for OUSD(A&S).  

The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)) is responsible for leading the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) efforts related to research and development, advanced technology, developmental test and evaluation, production, logistics, installation management, military construction, defense procurement, acquisition policy, environmental and nuclear security, chemical and biological matters, operational energy plans and programs, corrosion policy and oversight, human capital initiatives, as well as small and disadvantaged business management. To accomplish this mission, OUSD(A&S) requires administrative, analytical, and strategic communication support services. 

This individual will also be responsible for managing official correspondence, maintaining calendars and schedules, and providing various administrative services.  

The position will be part-time and based in the DC metro area. It is contingent upon award. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-level facilitation support. 
  • Lead and provide technical guidance on multiple high-complexity projects. 
  • Assist in tracking and completing assigned OUSD Action Packages and Division documents. 
  • Provide graphic design, illustration, and graphic facilitation. 
  • Utilize quantitative and analytical skills to support decision-making. 
  • Maintain assigned Outlook and portal calendars for multiple departments/divisions. 
  • Monitor due dates and coordinate official correspondence, including letters, notices, instructions, and memoranda. 
  • Support personnel management tasks, including fitness reports, performance evaluations, awards, training, security, and facilities support. 
  • Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate office personnel. 
  • Maintain portal sites, documents, links, libraries, announcements, and contact lists. 
  • Manage agendas, meetings, and other administrative tasks, including document and content management. 
  • Oversee tasker management, office and facilities management, personnel security, travel coordination, and customer relationship management. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Active Secret facility clearance with the ability to upgrade to Top Secret/SCI. 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. 
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience within the Department of Defense (DoD). 
  • Experience providing executive-level facilitation support within DoD and other federal agencies. 
  • Proven ability to lead multiple high-complexity projects and provide technical guidance. 
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills. 
  • Superior oral and written communication skills. 
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and ability to effectively interact with senior executives from government and industry. 
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. 
  • Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently. 
  • Availability for occasional travel. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college/university. 
  • Training or certifications in human resources, graphics, or group facilitation. 
  • Prior military or DoD civilian/contractor experience. 

Below is the pay range aligned with this position. When developing a range, Dexis evaluates compensation holistically, triangulating between external market research, our budget for the position, and internal equity to arrive at a figure that is fair and competitive. Offers within this range will be based on an individual candidate's qualification, relevant education and experience, skills, performance, and organizational needs.

Dexis pay range for this role:
$110,000$136,000 USD
