Fabric R&D Intern

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Fabric R&D Intern will provide support to aid in the seasonal material development process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Swatch Handling & Submit Organization

• Maintain core swatch archive
• Receive and price new selections
• Organize headers into their appropriate categories & file
• Send physical references & color palettes to suppliers
• Manage solid snip chart of SRS color references
• Scan selected headers & aid in assigning codes

Data Entry & Chart Upkeep

• Receiving Fabric Detail Sheets & updating charts
• Checking tracking received from suppliers to ensure accuracy

Miscellaneous Tasks

• Take fabric photos for design and merch visual decks
• Help steam/organize new garments for fashion week

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Education in textiles, design, product development, or marketing preferred
• Highly organized and excellent attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, collaborative styles
• Resourceful self-starter who can work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), familiar in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom)

POSITION DETAILS:

• Salary: $17.00/hour
• Hybrid: 3-5 days in office based on calendar
• Internship length: 3 months minimum
