The team

 

The candidate will be working within the IT Desktop Engineering team which focuses on curating, refining, maintaining, and improving workstation standards and related systems for Vantara’s global Apple endpoint fleet.

 

The role

 

As a Global Desktop Engineer specializing in macOS, you will be responsible for Apple device administration and supporting projects and initiatives related to Mac and iOS devices using the JAMF Suite.

What you’ll bring

 

  • Create and manage Apple operating system installation and application packages using JAMF.
  • Provide support and configuration expertise for enterprise-level Macintosh applications such as Microsoft Office and others, including packaging volume-licensed applications for deployment and repackaging non-PKG installers.
  • Develop and maintain bash scripts for automation and configuration tasks.
  • Handle ticket escalations from Tier 1 & Tier 2 engineering teams.
  • Proven experience in JAMF administration and support.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Services, Active Directory, networking.
  • Experience working in mixed environments (macOS and Windows).
  • Passion for technology, teamwork, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent prioritization, problem-solving, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in client-facing situations.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
