Role Summary
We are seeking a strategic, highly experienced Executive Director, Medical Affairs with deep expertise in eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). This individual will lead the development and execution of Apogee’s global Medical Affairs strategy for EoE, including the development of a clinical site engagement plan, KOL engagement plan, congress presence, advisory board needs, and subject matter expertise on publications and medical communications. This role also includes working closely with many cross-functional stakeholders, including but not limited to, clinical development, clinical operations, biometrics, research and translational medicine, regulatory affairs, business development and strategy, and commercial.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global Medical Affairs strategy for EoE
- Serve as a senior, strategic, thought partner across multiple teams and forums within Apogee
- Establish global KOL relationships and build scientific leadership in the field
- Support clinical development, site identification, and evidence generation
- Collaborate cross-functionally across multiple teams
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards
Ideal Candidate
- Advanced professional degree (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO)
- 10+ years in a progressive biotech or pharmaceutical company with significant experience leading Medical Affairs strategy
- Strong expertise in EoE required
- Additional experience in other inflammation and immunology disease states preferred
- Proven track record of success in Medical Affairs
- Excellent communication and strategic thinking

- Position requires up to 40% travel including mandatory in-person attendance at All Hands meetings typically held twice per year. Additional travel may be required to attend key team meetings and medical or industry conferences, both in the US and Europe
The anticipated salary range for candidates for this role will be $305,000 - $340,000 per year. The final salary offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but is not limited to, relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.
