Responsibilities

The Events Manager will be a key operational role on the Strategic Events team that is responsible for the planning and flawless execution of Tier 1 strategic events - such as product launches and flagship experiences. With events spanning multiple regions and attracting thousands of attendees, this role will work cross-functionally with internal and external teams to ensure each event meets brand and business goals.  This role will require travel to support onsite execution.

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Strategy & Planning

    • Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to align on event goals, timelines, tactics and budget

    • Facilitate meeting cadences with internal stakeholders, vendors and agency partners (where applicable) to ensure alignment on goals, strategies and roles & responsibilities

    • Build and execute audience acquisition strategies and communications in partnership with demand gen and marketing ops teams to achieve registration targets

    • Serve as a key contributor to expo and partner programming, sponsorship deliverables and onsite experience considerations

  • Event Management

    • Create and manage project plans, timelines, and task assignments to ensure effective coordination and collaboration among team members and agency partners

    • Build and maintain Cvent templates for all regional events, including registration pages, emails, exhibitor resource centers, speaker resource centers, attendee hubs and mobile apps

    • Write, edit and deploy compelling marketing event communications using relevant content and impactful layouts and visuals

    • Partner with multiple vendors to lead the planning, layout and execution of the onsite attendee experience - including floor plans, booth designs, activations and venue-wide signage plans

    • Ensure the execution of all deliverables, partnering with internal and external stakeholders

    • Collaborate with internal creative teams and vendor production teams to design, deliver and produce all event assets, both digital and print

    • Support various internal stakeholders to develop strategies and plans for ancillary events, including the creation of comprehensive playbooks, and collaborate with related vendors on execution

    • Support the overall event budget by ensuring accurate forecasting of operational line items, identifying cost-savings while maintaining quality and brand standards, and providing real-time tracking

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in large-scale event management or production roles, preferably in a B2B marketing environment

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Proven experience in Cvent or other similar event technology platforms, to include complex registration experiences, ERCs, SRCs and mobile apps

  • Experience managing expo design & execution, sponsorship deliverables and comprehensive signage plans

  • Ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts/pricing with vendors

  • Demonstrated experience with audience acquisition strategy and event marketing operations (Marketo or similar tools)

Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail

  • Ability to lead and/or present in cross-functional meetings

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

For California applicants, the base pay for this role may range between $100,000 - $140,000 plus variable, benefits, perks, and equity.
