The Role

The Events Manager will support the Global Engagement & Events team in the planning and delivery of a year-round programme of convenings.


This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, responsible for managing specific event workstreams and ensuring excellent operational execution across multiple events. Working closely with internal teams, external agencies and suppliers, the Events Manager will help deliver high-quality, sustainable and impactful events that reflect The Earthshot Prize’s global ambition.


The role offers a real opportunity to contribute creative ideas and fresh thinking alongside delivery. This includes shaping engaging event activations, guest journeys and meaningful experiences for our community.


The successful candidate will be a highly organised events professional with strong attention to detail, clear communication skills and experience delivering complex events in fast-paced environments.


The role also offers hands-on exposure to international event delivery, working as part of a collaborative team to create high-impact moments on a global stage.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of events, taking ownership of assigned event workstreams.

  • Manage detailed project plans, timelines and task lists, ensuring milestones are met and risks are flagged early.

  • Coordinate event logistics across areas such as guest experience, accreditation, invitations, seating plans, programming schedules, catering, technical production, staging and on-site operations.

  • Work closely with internal teams on guestlist management.
  • Liaise with venues, suppliers and production partners to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with agreed briefs and sustainability standards.

  • Support arrangements for VIPs and senior stakeholders, maintaining a high level of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
  • Brief in and coordinate the design of event materials such as invitations, guest communications, signage and event programmes.

  • Support the delivery of engaging activations and guest experiences, including excursions for Youth Programme participants where relevant.
  • Assist with budget tracking, supplier quotes and purchase orders, ensuring spend is monitored and documented accurately.

  • Play an active role in on-site event delivery, including rehearsals, live event management and post-event wrap-up.
  • Ensure sustainability principles are embedded across all aspects of event delivery, helping to set new benchmarks for green and responsible events.

 

Experience

  • Proven experience delivering events, ideally within a high-profile, international or purpose-led organisation.

  • Experience working across both B2B and B2C events of varying scale and complexity.
  • Experience working with external agencies, venues and production partners, ideally including international suppliers.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders or VIPs, demonstrating professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.

  • An understanding of, or strong interest in, sustainable and environmentally responsible event delivery.

  • A proactive team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

 

Location and Travel

  • Our expectation is that you will join us in our office based in London.
  • The role will involve periods of international travel, particularly around major events.

 

Duration

  • The role will be a fixed term from March 2026 to November 2026.
