JOB PURPOSE
This role is at the centre of our Holding team in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. We’ve got a mix of skills here, from Finance and Hospitality to Recruitment, People & Culture, and Marketing. Think of us as the backbone of the company, keeping things running smoothly and helping out everywhere we can. We're the ones who answer questions, toss around ideas, offer support, and plan those fun outings and initiatives everyone loves. Are you eager to gain hands-on experience across Event Management and Coordination? We're looking for an ambitious, proactive intern with strong project management, communication, and event coordination skills to join our team.

As an Events intern, you will be part of the marketing team of one of the fastest-growing digital agencies in the world. We’re focused on representing the DEPT® globally, whether it’s to potential clients, industry stakeholders, or our own employees. And we need your support for that.

Please note: to be eligible for this internship, you are required to be living and studying in the Netherlands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organize an event from a-z;
• Write invitations, devise social media posts, set up campaigns and ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day of; 
• Research online platforms and come up with recommendations;
• Writing and social skills are instrumental, but you are above all a coordinator in heart and soul. 

• Assist in the delivery of DEPT® events. From vendor coordination and on-site setup to guest registration and post-event wrap-ups;
• Help with Event communication efforts, inbox management, landing page creation, and reconciling event budgets when making event related purchases;
• Sometimes working outside of regular 9-5, when internal event management support is needed;

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 Have an affinity with project management, communication, and event planning;

• A strong interest in project management, communications, and event planning;
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Comfortable working in a structured and analytical way, with strong attention to detail;
• A proactive, hands-on mindset and willingness to adapt to different challenges;
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, especially Google Slides and Google Sheets;
• Currently studying in a field such as Marketing, Communications, or Commercial Economics;
• Someone ready to creatively problem solve on the spot, and have fun while doing it
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
